The Ember Mug is an 8-ounce mug that has a built-in heating element that will keep the contents of the mug at the right temperature for your beverage. I also installed the Ember app so I could. Yes, the Ember Mug and Ember Mug² will be fully functional without a mobile device. In this case, it will maintain a default temperature of 135°F. Once hot liquids are added, the Ember will pulse white as it works to reach the set temperature.
Ember, a temperature-control ceramic mug has launched in Apple stores across Australia.
“We are proud to be launching in Apple retail stores in Australia,” said Clay Alexander, Founder and CEO, Ember. “As a design-led brand, we are committed to delivering world class innovation that is as human and intuitive as possible.”
The Ember Ceramic Mug has the ability to set and maintain a preferred drinking temperature at a precise degree.
The mug also connects to the free Ember mobile app for complete customisation - from tracking caffeine intake with the Apple Health app integration, to saving favourite temperature presets and receiving notifications when the ideal drinking temperature is reached.
The app also lets users identify their mug by selecting a personal colour that will display on a small LED light located toward the base of the mug.
Embedded with multiple temperature sensors and a microprocessor-controlled, dual-band heating system, the Ember Ceramic Mug maintains beverages at the user's preferred drinking temperature.
The mug’s technology also allows it to “sleep” when not in use and “wake up” as soon as it is picked up, so users only need to turn it on once.
The Ember Ceramic Mug is available for $130 in Apple stores across Australia.
